Hi, I’m Angela. I’m a mom, wife, sister, friend, daughter, and doula. I’ve had a fascination with pregnancy and birth for as long as I can remember. While pregnant with my first child in 2019, my fascination grew into a reverence that I knew deserved my attention. After an intensely traumatizing labor and delivery, I put my doula goals on hold to process and recover from my own birthing experience.

In 2021, after two years of unexplained infertility, I became pregnant via IVF. I gave birth to my daughter in the summer of 2022 and later gave birth to my son in the fall of 2024. These pregnancies and births healed the parts of me I needed to feel whole again which allowed me to circle back to becoming a doula.

I am a graduate of the Mother Tree birth doula program based here in Portland, OR. My interests include: (in)fertility, pregnancy road-mapping, labor and birth, grief and loss, and community building. I feel tremendous gratitude and joy being able to bear witness to the magic of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood in all of its forms.

As your doula, it’s my highest priority to ensure you feel understood, respected, and celebrated. I hope to build a relationship with you through shared time learning and creating, while bringing a sense of care and wonder to create a safe and professional environment for all involved.

Outside of my doula role, you can often find me at the river with my children and dogs, planning a fun family getaway with my husband, or tending to my garden/chickens/bees. I also enjoy reading, learning a new skill or craft, and attempting to keep up with either of my kiddos.

This is Ophelia, my firstborn. She was stillborn on September 28th, 2019. Carrying, birthing, parenting, and grieving Ophelia is what brings me to this work. She is why I’m here.
